Great Time at #LSCON 2014

Last week I attended eLearning Guild’s Learning Solutions Conference. It was a great time, I met some really wonderful folks and had the opportunity to take a few students with me to help out with the “Learn to Play” workshop. Mike and Laura had a great time.

After we arrived, the first full day myself, Sharon Boller and IIT students Mike and Laura helped conduct the workshop where participants. First played games and then, after some coaching and instruction, developed their own paper-prototype games.

Students had a great time meeting the folks from the Guild, Karen and David. They got to meet Lance Dublin, Marc Rosenberg, Will Thalheimer, Michael Allen, Richard Sites, Angel Green, Aaron Quigley of Lynda.com and Andrew Hughes of Designing Digitally and plenty of others (see Laura of Axonify below in pic).

Here are some pics.

Laura had a great idea that since we were in Florida, we should take the session outside, so we did!!

All-in-all, it was a great conference and everyone the students met treated them like royalty, it was a great trip and we hope to bring even more students back in the future!
