It’s that time of year again: Bloomsburg’s Corporate Advisory Council Meeting
Every year, as part of our graduate program, we run a three day event which includes one day of corporate presentations, one day of student presentations and one day of interviews, business meetings and education.
This year promises to be one of the best ever as our first group of online students are presenting. Some of them have never even met each other until this week, everything has been on line up until today when they will meet face-to-face and tomorrow they present as a team for the first time in a live environment.
You can check out the live presentations at this link. Today you can see the corporate presentations live and tomorrow you can see student presentations.
We are using MediaSite for the broadcast. You can see Asa and Tina setting it up for the webcast in the picture below.
Also, one of our alumni, Mark Burke is creating a course for high school kids about entrepreneurship and where better to find entrepreneurs than our alumni. We’ve got dozens of alumni who’ve started their own businesses (including Mark with viaAcademies) so he has set up a camera and is filming away as you can see in the picture below, Mark is trying out the interview seat to see how it feels to be on the “other side of the camera.”
To add even more technology to the mix we are using iPod Touches to keep score of student presentations. The forms are built with iFormBuilder. Another of our alum and another entrepreneur, Chris Reichart donated his time and the time of his interns (2 of our students) and the use of iPods to create interactive scoring forms using software developed at this company, iFormBuilder.
So check out the CAC live at the link or, if you want, you’ll be able to watch recorded versions as well.
