Bloomsburg University Alumni Speaks at TEDxWilliamsport

An alumni of our instructional technology program here at Bloomsburg had the opportunity to present at the TEDxWilliamsport event and did a fantastic job. Mark is the President of viaAcademies active in our Corporate Advisory Council and a creator of some really innovative learning products for kids.

Mark Burke is the founder of viaEdTechnologies, LLC, located in Bloomsburg, PA. Mark’s ventures include founding one of the nation’s first, fully online music academies, viaAcademies (www.MakeMusicClick.com). Mark has over 15 years experience in online learning, virtual school management, educational technology and curriculum development. In this talk he makes a case for melding community and classroom for mutual benefit. In thespirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
