Corporate Advisory Meeting on Nov 16th, 17th and 18th

The annual CAC meeting where students present to industry professionals is just around the corner.

It is that time a year again. Our annual Corporate Advisory Council Conference (CAC) where my instructional technology students and professionals in the field have an opportunity to interact and learn from each other. The students have been working all semester on a mock RFP for e-learning and at the CAC event, they present for 20 minutes and then answer 15 minutes of questions after they have written a 40 page proposal. It is a great realistic event and a good chance for them to show off their knowledge to industry professionals who evaluate and judge the performance of the students (they even grade them).

This fall’s CAC will be held on November 16th, 17th, and 18th. It promises to be an exciting event with a challenging RFP. This semester the students must create a proposal for a two part program, a one-day interactive instructor led virtual symposium and a post-event reinforcement and performance support curriculum delivered via mobile devices.. Additionally, this is the second semester that online students, many of whom have never been to campus before, will be presenting. It promises to be an interesting event. The students have already developed some great ideas and look forward to the event.

On Wednesday, CAC members will present to the students and other CAC members. On Thursday our student teams will present their solutions and insights as they present to the CAC. The solutions promise to be innovative and exciting.

On Friday students will present Graduate Assistantship projects and Advanced Instructional Design projects informally in the lab. We will also showcase our latest developments in interactive technology with a brief presentation on Friday by Dr. Helmut Doll on the latest technologies. You will also have a chance to interview our talented students for employment.

Hope to see lots of alum and industry professionals at the event!!!
