Thanksgiving Story and The Value of Video Games

Here is a touching message I received from a gentleman I went to high school with way back in the late 1980’s. I thank Chuck for reaching out to me and for providing such a wonderful example of how “video games” can really have a positive impact.

How are you? I just happened to find you on facebook and I see the work you are doing. I have a story you might find interesting. In 2005 I had a Cerebral Aneurysm that greatly effected my short term memory. Luckily I work for a very intelligent Chiropractor who is studying to be a chiropractic neurologist. When this all happened I was in the Hospital for 3 weeks and in a rehab physicality for 2 1/2 weeks. My short term memory was greatly effected. The first thing he did was go out and buy me a Nintendo DS with Brain Age and Big Brain Academy. He made sure I used both on a regular basis. Thanks to Nintendo my memory has made great progress. I still have some short term memory problems, but nothing like at first.

I am very blessed thankfully I have made about a 95% recovery . This whole ordeal happened in Oct. of 2005 Thanks to some Divine intervention, and my DS I was back to work by January 1st 2006 Please keep up the research ,and I know you will help allot more people that are in the same shoes that I was back in 2005

Thanks Chuck and hope you continue your road to full recovery. Good luck and God Bless.
